Shot to international prominence thanks to the Kungs vs Cookin' feat. Kylie Auldist version of 'This Girl', her sublime vocals are currently breaking charts across the world. The remix has reached #1 on the national singles charts and the iTunes charts in many countries across Europe including France and Germany, #2 in the UK single charts, #1 on the Worldwide Shazam Chart, #9 on the International iTunes Charts, and made track of the day on BBC1. The music video is now over 40 million views and continues its meteoric rise.
As the world turns up the volume to Kylie Auldist, esteemed UK soul label Freestyle Records have just released Kylie's 12" 5-track vinyl EP Waste of Time ahead of her full length electro-funk record Family Tree (out in the UK and Europe on 29 July and in Australia on 5 August). The new record release comes as Kylie embarks on four tours to UK and Europe across the northern hemisphere summer and select shows back home in Australia including this very performance with her 7-piece funk soul orchestra at The Night Cat on the 12th of August.
Kylie's energy on stage is absolutely electric. She possesses a voice that can run the gamut from soaring vocal pyrotechnics to heart-wrenching tenderness. Her down to earth, warm but no BS personality permeates her music in the same way as it does her live shows: You are definitely invited to the party but you had better be able to keep up.
